We are an all-volunteer organization supported generously by Friends of the Bog, donations made at the Quincy Bog and through the support of many organizations. Here are some of the more recent grants and support we have received. This support is critical to conserving land and connecting people with nature.
The Common Man supported the 40th Anniversary celebration at the Bog in July 2014.
Green Acre Woodlands, Inc. supports the production of the Quincy Bog Trail Guide.
Meredith Village Savings Bank supported the Bog’s new pontoon bridge and benches for rest and contemplation around the bog trail.
McIninch Foundation funded improved access to the Nature Center for young and old alike, including families with babies in strollers, the elderly with walkers, and anyone with crutches. The trail was graded from both kiosks to the bog edge and surfaced with compacted gravel composite; and boardwalks were added and resurfaced to improve access to the trail around the bog.
Citizens Bank funded the purchase of computer equipment and software to support PBLT record-keeping.
The Rumney Conservation Commission co-sponsored a conservation easement workshop and has provided monitoring funds for two PBLT easement properties.
